Paypal Poker Deposits
I
wish I could offer you a list of poker websites which
accept Paypal poker deposits.
But.
If you're in the USA, then Paypal poker deposits don't exist. Paypal, as a matter of policy, doesn't allow most online poker sites to use their service to transfer money. In fact, if there's even a hint in a Paypal transaction that it's being used for some kind of online gambling transaction to/from the USA, then Paypal might cancel the transaction or even put your account on hold. So don't put "Paypal PokerStars" or "Paypal Full Tilt Poker" in the subject line of a transfer to your online poker buddy who's going to do an account-to-account transfer to you in exchange for some Paypal funds.
I've seen some sites claiming that Betfair and Ladbrokes both accept Paypal poker deposits, but neither of those sites accept USA poker players, so I can't test that for myself to see whether or not I could get money to or from the sites anyway. But I have heard that Paypal can be pretty draconian with their anti-gambling positions, and that you can be hugely inconvenienced by having your Paypal account locked or suspended because of poker deposits.
My suggestion? Just don't use Paypal to deposit money at a poker site. It's probably not worth the trouble.
If you absolutely cannot find another alternative, and you really insist that you must use Paypal to deposit money at a poker site, the best way to go about it is to contact a friend who has a real money poker account where you want to play. Offer to transfer your friend funds in exchange for having your friend do a player-to-player transfer to you. Some people even add a little bit extra to make up for their friend's trouble. For example, you might send someone $550 via Paypal in exchange for their transferring $500 to you via PokerStars player account. This process works in reverse too sometimes, if you want to withdraw money. Just ask your buddy to transfer you the money via PokerStars, then do a player-to-player transfer.
But the most important, critical thing to remember is to not reference what you're doing in the subject line or body of a message via Paypal. They will flag your transaction if it says anything at all about poker, gambling, or casinos, and that will put a stop to your ability to use Paypal to deposit money at a poker site in a hurry.
The best way to meet other online poker players and befriend them is via various poker forums.
Paypal Poker Alternatives
Multiple
options are available at alternatives to Paypal for
poker funds transfers. eWalletXpress is described in
detail on our site. Just look for it in the menu on the
left side of this page. In fact, any of the options
listed on the left under "Deposit Methods" are realistic
alternatives to using Pypal to deposit money in an
online poker site. In fact, most of those services work
just like Paypal, without the pesky restriction on
gambling transactions.
NETeller used to be the best Paypal poker deposit alternative, but they no longer conduct business with USA-based real money poker players.
